FAQ
The Ripple Effect looks broken. The ripple’s width and height seem to affect the layout of the child elements inside RippleContainer, as if the ripple doesn’t have position: absolute. What’s going on?
This issue occurs when the CSS required to render the ripple effect provided by sparkle-ripple is not loaded.
You need to explicitly import the CSS from your tsx/jsx file.
Alternatively, if you are using plugins such as postcss-import, you may also be able to import it from a CSS file.
Example:
import 'sparkle-ripple/css';
@import 'sparkle-ripple/css';
You can also load the CSS globally to avoid having to import it each time.
If you are using this library without a bundler, such as via a CDN, you can load the CSS using the @import url() syntax in your CSS.
When I wrap a RippleContainer with the a element, a blue box appears on tap in the mobile version of Chrome and the Ripple Effect is not visible. Is there any way to turn it off?
You can manipulate this effect using the -webkit-tap-highlight-color property. You can turn it off by specifying transparent.
